M&H Single Bittuni Red Wine Cask, Single Malt Israeli Whisky (700ml, 48% ABV)

This unique whisky comes only from a single cask that was previously used to mature bittuni wine.

Bittuni wine comes with an extraordinary story of its own - this red grape is native to Israel's Judean Hills where it was used to make wine prior to wineries' forced closures during the Ottoman Empire. Long thought extinct, it was recently rediscovered by Israeli farmers and re-engineered as vines to produce light-bodied, highly aromatic red wines with low tannins, red fruit notes, and refreshing acidity. It is often compared to Pinot Noir or Gamay.

Once the wines were bottled, this extraordinary cask found it's way to the award-winning M & H Distillery in Jaffa, who filled it with their spirit on 22/5/2019 for 7 years. The cask was decanted on 29/7/25 filling only 150 bottles with this stunning and unique single cask, single malt expression.
