The Balvenie 15 year old Madeira Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml, 43% ABV)
$219.00
The Balvenie 15 Year Old Madeira Cask is an elegant and beautifully layered single malt from one of Speyside’s most celebrated distilleries. This product is usually only available at Duty Free Stores but occasionally we can source stock to sell in the retail market.
After maturing for 15 years in traditional American oak casks, the whisky is finished in casks that previously held Madeira wine, adding a wonderfully rich and exotic dimension to The Balvenie’s signature honeyed style.
The Madeira casks bring an abundance of ripe fruit to the whisky, with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and warming spice alongside The Balvenie’s characteristic honey and vanilla. On the palate, layers of dark berries and fruit develop alongside gentle oak, ginger and cinnamon, balanced by a rich, silky sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering fruit, spice and subtle nuttiness.
At 15 years old, the whisky has enough maturity and oak influence to provide depth and complexity while allowing the vibrant Madeira character to shine through. Rich, fruity and beautifully balanced, The Balvenie 15 Year Old Madeira Cask is an excellent example of the distillery’s renowned approach to cask finishing and a particularly appealing choice for lovers of fruit-forward, wine-cask-matured single malts.

About the Distillery
Founded in 1892 by William Grant, The Balvenie Distillery stands proudly in Dufftown, Speyside, as one of Scotland’s most revered producers of single malt whisky. What sets The Balvenie apart is its rare dedication to traditional craftsmanship—still growing its own barley, operating its own floor maltings, and employing a team of coopers and coppersmiths on site. This vertical integration allows complete control over every stage of production, resulting in whiskies of remarkable consistency, depth, and character.
Under the long-standing stewardship of Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, The Balvenie has become synonymous with gentle honeyed sweetness, layers of vanilla and spice, and an unmistakable warmth that speaks of its handcrafted nature. Each expression—from the approachable DoubleWood to the opulent PortWood and beyond—reflects both heritage and innovation, embodying the timeless art of Speyside whisky-making perfected over more than a century.
