Sullivans Cove 7yo Ex-Chard. Cask #SC0814 Single Malt Aust Whisky (700ml, 50%)

Price

$559.00

French Oak Ex-Chardonnay SC0814 was filled in September 2018 and decanted in May 2026, maturing for 7 years and 7 months in a single French oak cask that previously held Chardonnay. It's a departure from the ex-Tawny casks that Sullivans Cove French Oak is best known for, and the white wine influence shows in every sip.

Where Tawny casks bring dried fruit and spice, this Chardonnay cask has produced a sticky, deep and fruit-driven whisky - berry jams, plums and dates on the nose, then a creamy, velvety, full-bodied palate of rum and raisin, chocolate-coated pineapple and peaches and cream. The finish is long and juicy, with a hint of hazelnut praline. As a single cask, once these 443 bottles are gone, there will never be another.

Filled: 22/09/2018

Decanted: 06/05/2026
